We had beautiful weather on Friday. I know all of you in Ohio hate us right now since its bitter cold there.
We hung out until Joe was done working then headed to the beach. The sun was very hot so there were tons of people at the beach. Great people watching! Brooks quickly made friends with a little girl from Colorado and some little boys from San Diego.
Brooks came back and took a crazy long nap so Joe and I read out on the porch. I'm two books down so far for the trip. That's a lot for me! We headed to the pool when Brooks woke up for dinner. We played a little while Joe grilled out.
After dinner we came back and had our daily dose of ice cream. This whole "I'm on vacation I can have dessert" thing is really starting to creep up on my tush and thighs. :)
Clothes are optional in Kauai :)

Happy Valentines Day!! Let me tell you the Haddads really know how to do up Valentines Day....not!
It rained for a billion hours in a row then finally started clearing up around 10:00 a.m. When the rain stopped it turned into Kansas here. CRAZY winds! We started the morning off with yummy pancakes! Joe went to a golf lesson around lunch time and Brooks and I made his favorite mac and cheese and chicken nuggets. Mommy fail.... I forgot to get him some special Valentines Day treats so I tried to make up for it by making his favorite meals.
In the afternoon we headed to some surf shops to get Brooks a proper "surfer hat." He received some money for Valentines Day so he got to pay for his hat with his own money! We stopped by the park on the way home to tire him out a bit. He has this new obsession with pretending he is Captain Hook. Which is great he has a wild imagination but it gets a little embarrassing when he's screaming from the top of the slide "I will get you sneaky snook!!" We got many looks today.
Grandma and Grandpa Troyer get in around 8:30p.m. and Brooks is so excited! Mommy and Daddy are pumped because he can now go in their room at 5:30 every morning instead of ours! :)
We are here and LOVE our little Snuggle Bug visiting us in the early hours!
